Based on the discussion that took place among the so-called narrativist theorists (of history), this paper traces various relationships that literature or narration, on the one hand, and historiography, on the other hand, maintain. The main question is following: if, according to the narrativist theorists, history narrates - and can be, in this matter, perceived as a kind of fiction -, does it mean, likewise, that literature is, in a way, historical, as it makes use of the very same linguistic protocols?
