Abstract
Th e paper focuses on the relationship between building law and mining law. Th e legal regulation in the sphere of spatial planning and building regulations influences, supplements and partly merges with legal regulation in the fi eld of protection and exploitation of mineral resources.
Mining law, such as special regulations, takes precedence over building law that is in the nature of a general law. Th e relationship is described on the example of legal regulation of the engineering geological survey, the use of the results of geological works and the safeguarding of mineral resources in the sphere of spatial planning, location of buildings and facilities in the protected deposit area, design and construction of mines and quarries or the status of mining designer
