Methodology of determination of main phenolic compounds in genotypes of apples with regard to various storage conditions

Abstract

The described methodology is intended for application of apple growers, fruit storers and traders. It includes detailed information about the phenolic content of selected substances in apples, preparation of samples for analysis, and description of analyzes including all steps.

Storage conditions and losses in the content of bioactive compounds during storage under different storage conditions are described. Cultivars with minimal losses after five months of storage and with the lower loss during the whole storage are recommended.

The methodology is supplemented with knowledge related to the methods of analysis of bioactive substances in apples and reduction of losses during fruit storage resulting from literature research and from the knowledge gained during the project NAZV - QJ1510354.
