Abstrakt
The chapter summarizes the information about the occurrence of trichomonads in great apes. Members of three genera (Dientamoeba, Pentatrichomonas, and Tetratrichomonas) have been reported from the great apes.
They are considered nonpathogenic, with the exception of Dientamoeba fragilis.
