This paper presents the results of the psychometric properties analyzes of the authoring analytical tool for comprehensive measurement of environmental literacy of International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) level 2 pupils, i.e. cognitive, affective and conative dimensions. The tool is a quantitative questionnaire that based on standard foreign instruments based on their verification by the author in the Czech Republic.
Different elementary schools and high schools (pupils aged 12 to 15) were included, the total number of respondents was 467. The data were collected in autumn 2018.
Content validity was discussed with environmental education experts and in the context of the researches, where the used tools were successfully verified. The internal consistency of individual dimensions and construct validity were tested using confirmatory factor analysis.
The relationship between the dimensions of environmental literacy has been identified through the correlation analysis. Reliability of all subscales of instrument that correspond to individual dimensions (environmental knowledge; attitudes and sensitivity; behavior) has reached acceptable values in the range 0,7 - 0,8.
Validity of the tool can be regarded as proven not only by the author of the obtained results but also by the successful application of original tools in many researches. Tested research tool can be then considered as applicable for evaluation of environmental literacy of ISCED 2 pupils in the Czech Republic.
