Computer controlled experimental defibrillator for low energy defibrillation

Publication

Abstract

The technical solution relates to a device for performing cardiac defibrillation - an electric cardioversion using a low-energy electric pulse sequence. The pulse sequence timing parameters are selected by the device based on the results of a multichannel surface ECG analysis in heart fibrillation.

The device consists of a unit for multi-channel scanning of the surface ECG from the surface of the body by the BSPM method and a programmable source/generator of electrical voltage serving as a source of the defibrillation electric pulse which are connected to the evaluation and control unit. The solution described will find use in, for example, healthcare and experimental research, for example, in research of new methods and improvement of the existing procedures in the field of electrical defibrillation of the heart.
