In the paper I have mentioned the theoretical background and the state of solving the problem of using textbook materials by teachers with regard to the transformation of non-traditional curriculum in history teaching at primary school. Research data for own research was obtained by analyzing textbook materials, by interviewing three teachers and by observing their teaching (direct observation and video analysis).
Both the curriculum and the lessons concerned were the historical events of November 1939 and 1989 and the public holiday related to these events. The last part of the paper was devoted to research results and discussion.
