Abstract
The prototype has been implemented and put into operation at the National Drug Headquarters of the Police of the Czech Republic. It consists of a machine translation system made available as a web service within the internal network of the Police.
The system provides fully automatic translation from Vietnamese into Czech, optimized for the anticipated use case, i.e. the translation of Vietnamese short text messages (SMS) known for the specific issues such as missing diacritics. The system is self-contained, no Internet connection is needed.
