The Janusian Face of Dialectic of the Concrete. The Czech Radical Democrats of Karel Kosík on the Way from the Historical to the Systematic Approach of (Marxist) Philosophy

Abstract

The Chapter demostrates that Karel Kosík's works Czech Radical Democracy and Dialectics of the Concrete do not represent two different periods of Kosík's academic activity (historical and philosophical). Rather a discints methodolical continuity exists between these two texts, and the earlier historical material helped Kosík define the concept ot he concrete totality, which he later developed fully in Dialectics of the Concrete.
