Status of Political Faction and Position of the Member of Parliament during the First Czechoslovak Republic and its Reflection in the Contemporary System

Abstract

The status of the political parliamentary factions during the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic (1918 - 1938) followed the Western European and partly Austrian Rules of Procedure. Political factions controlled the program and the negotiation process, ensuring that all parties and viewpoints were heard.

At present in the Czech Parliament, factions have a number of rights, but they do not control the Chamber as much as they did during the period of the First Republic.
