Standard Czech morphology at the basic school

Abstract

The acquisition of Standard Czech has always been one of the main goals of the school language education in our country. However, the real use of standard language at school is determined by many factors, such as types of communication, the language proficiency depending on age, changes in the norms of behavior, regional differences or children's own attitude to the Standard Czech.

This paper summarizes the results of an inquiry into the morphological competence at secondary school in the Prague area.
