Induction therapy and multiple sclerosis

Abstract

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease affecting the central nervous system. Current treatment, especially when deployed at an early stage, can slow the progression of the disease and thereby delay the disability of patients.

The primary goal of treatment is to achieve a condition free of both clinical and subclinical signs of disease activity, a condition referred to as NEDA. Inductive therapy consists in the early deployment of the most effective treatment as a first choice drug in highly active
