The study summarizes the most important findings on responsible / sustainable consumption (SC) from research and in the context of achieving Goal 12 within SDGs. It includes an overview of most recent SC research, describes lifestyle options / categories, and discusses existing approaches with regards to the educational relevance.
It is based on a comparison of qualitative and quantitative methods that are used to reflect environmental impacts of consumption and lifestyle change. The study reviews assumptions and opportunities for pro-environmental consumption and lifestyle; and shows main areas and strategies of (environmentally friendly) consumer behavior.
