Abstract
Ing. Miroslav Zikmund was born in Pilsen on 14th February 1919.
Together with Jiří Hanzelka they belong to the most famous travelogue writers. They spend 9 and a half years travelling and visited 114 countries.
Their 18 travelogues was published in 143 editions and in eleven languages. M.
Zikmund keeps his optimal physical fitness by daily physical activity and exercises. Getting the question what are his next plans he replied: Permanently work.
Hundred is too little, to live till 111 years, that wouldn't be bad.
