A Few Remarks to Lévinas's Categories of "Sameness" and "Otherness" in the Contemporary Discourse of Humanities

Abstract

The article deals with the issue of using Lévinas's categories of "sameness" and "otherness" in humanities. It aims at showing, in general perspective, various problems stemming from our misunderstanding of the terms of the Same / the Other, which finally leads to distortions of principles of Lévinas's philosophy.
