Abstract
The chapter synthetically summarizes social, political and economic development in the Bohemian Lands between 1880 and 1920. It is a chapter in the most recent comprehensive volume on Bohemian history that presents the up-to-date state of the art in the relevant scholarship and delivers fresh interpretations to interested scholarly as well as more broader public readership.
