Abstract

The aim of this article was provided an overview of the possibilities of cooperation of multidisciplinary team members in patients with upper limb amputation. The article was focused on the interconnection of occupational therapy intervention with members of an team such as a physiotherapist, prosthetist and nurse.

Occupational therapy is only successful if it is done in a specific team. The therapist meets colleagues at different stages of rehabilitation, it is a pre-prosthetic, interprotetic, post-prophetic phase, and together they meet specific goals leading to patient self-sufficiency after upper limb amputation.

The occupational therapy contens specific areas of rehabilitation and focuses on restricted participation, hence the obstacles that limit them in activities of daily living in the home environment.
