Basis: Aim of this paper is to describe the effect of dance pad training in order to positively influence gait and balance impairments in neurologic patients - particularly in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Material a methods: Two case reports are used to describe the use of dance pad in neurorehabilitation of people with MS.
Both patients underwent a series of outpatient individual physiotherapy in the Centre for demyelinisation diseases. Functional gait test were used for the therapy results objectification.
Timed 25 foot walk test, Timed Up and Go test and endurance gait test for 2 minutes. Berg Balance Scale, Mini-BEST test and Rombergovo stance examination were used to assess the balance.
Conclusion: Motion therapy stimulated with a musical accompaniment is one of the possibilities to facilitate movement and increase the motivation of patients.
