Abstract
The chapter deals with the development evaluation of house arresting with regard to almost ten years since the new Criminal Code came into force. Attention is paid to statistical data of imposing house arrest over time.
There are also listed fundamental changes in the legal regulation of house arrest since the new Criminal Code came into force. Further, there is comparison with the old Criminal Code.
The pros and cons of imposing house arrest are evaluated as well as the problems of insufficient use of this institute.
