Abstract
Major depressive disorder is severe and often chronic illness with broad influence on patiens and their families. Psychoeducation implementation into complex treatment plan is beneficial for both pacients and relatives.
In this review theoretical basis of psychoeducation for depression and practical aspects such as topic choice or suitable forms of programs are discussed and available evidence of effectiveness in the treatment of depression is presented.
