Abstract
Pathological insertion of upper lip frenum and related diastema is a common problem not only in school-age children. It's solution usually requires multidisciplinary therapy, which often encounters a different approach of experts of various specializations.
The following text offers an overview of available literature related to indications, appropriate timing and choice of surgical method to perform upper lip frenectomy.
