Abstract

In the interwar Soviet Union, a broad-based system of federal and autonomous structures was gradually created, which, unlike the fundamentally unitary tsarist empire, bestowed many rights upon non-dominant ethnic groups. Experts on the legal standing of minorities in Czechoslovakia took a certain interest in Soviet conditions.
