Quantified Self: from data fetishism to quantifying selves

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2016

Abstract

The lecture focused on pragmatic issues related to the use of self-centering devices that bring objectified numerical information about one's own behavior to human life. The aim was to offer listeners and subsequently answer two Quantified self areas characterized by the question of what is dangerous about data fetishism? And what approach to interpretation of collected data can be chosen, the difference between them, where their weak and strong points lie.
