Abstract

Skin photoprotection is a complex of protective measures preventing side effects of solar radiation on skin. It consists of behavioral precautions, wearing of photoprotective clothing and aplication of sunscreens on unprotected skin.

Photoprotection of children skin is particularly important since their skin is much more sensitive to ultraviolet harmful effects than the skin of adults. Use of sunbeds during childhood is considered very dangerous.

Vitamin D is also discussed.
