The Tell Fekheriye Inscription and the Western Assyrian Border in the Late 9th Century B.C.E.

Abstract

We propose that the circumstances, which led to the dedication of the statue from Tell Fekheriye to Hadad in Guzana and later in Sikan, could have been motivated by political and territorial reasons in the 2nd half of the 9th century B.C.E.
