Abstract
Piano pedagogy in Czech Republic is a field with many years' tradition and has great respect. The unique system of Elementary Music Schools enables thousands of children all around Czech Republic to gain quality musical education.
The piano pedagogy draws from rich past, where unique piano schools and materials for elementary teaching of children were created. In the present it is necessary to look at the piano pedagogy from a new angle through using the tools of the information technologies and internet.
E-materials enable better accessibility of the instruction and at the same time more intensive work of children at their homework as well as during the lessons. The spreading of quality learning materials through internet is a step to increase the interest in playing the piano among the general public.
The accessibility of materials online for piano teachers will lead to further improvement of the level of piano playing as well as to further possibilities of education of the piano teachers during their professional experience. Within the grant project GA UK an e-book Methodology of Elementary Teaching of Piano Playing for Children of 5-7 Years has been created for beginning piano teachers.
