Axiological aspects of theories of good and evil in the context of comprehension of idea of toleration

Abstract

In the article authors analyze basic concepts existing in the modern philosophical discourse and reflecting views on ontological and axiological aspects of categories of good and evil in contemporary communication systems as well as concepts revealing universals of good and evil. The article deals with categories of equality, justice, religion, freedom, responsibility, and extremism in all their manifestations.

Authors analyze concepts aimed at understanding of universal axiological concerns and meanings in the world view context, which are the most promising from the perspective of the practical nature of the research. Basic approaches to the mentioned categories proposed by M.

Walzer, R. Dvorkin, M.

Sandel, W. Kymlicka were studied within the framework of this article.

Authors suppose that conceptual ideas of these scholars are complementary and reflect epistemological priorities in this problem space.
