Abstrakt
The Czech Republic as well as the whole European Union have been struggling for a long time with the lack of people interested in the science studies. Thus, there is an absence of qualified employees concerning the professions with science background.
Even if a lot of steps have been made in order to stop the decreasing interest in these domains, there is no improvement as the OECD indicators present. One question is obvious - weather the science literacy should be cultivated much earlier for example during the preschool education.
One of the possible ways is to develop a positive relation to the science and technical domains within little children and thus strengthen their confidence related to their future science and technical studies. That could lead to a bigger interest in these domains.
