Abstract
The conference contribution focuses on pornographic films produced by the Czech company Lupus Pictures, which have originated mostly in the first decade of the 21st century and which belong to the sub-genre of so-called "spanking movies". We follow the role of historical motives in the conditions of specific media, which is a fetish pornographic film, and their relationship to mainstream narratives.
We focus specifically on the following issues: - what specific historical motives are present in these films? - which is their role in relation to general functions of pornography? - to what extent are these motives involved in creating a sadomasochist imaginarium? - to what extent such movies incorporate mainstream images of the past and to what extent are those images modified according to the particular needs of pornography? Based on analyzing the movie genre which is generally considered as one of the "lowest" we would like to follow possible social and cultural functions of historical imagery outside the historiographical context.
