Abstract
The third edition of the monography Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition brings the complex view to clinical nutrition field in the context of increasing amount of difficult surgery and severe medical disease that meets the modem medicine. ln the first part the clinical nutrition is reviewed in general. The terms like malnutrition, nutritional screening, enteral and parenteral nutrition are described.
The compounds of both types of nutrition are listed as well as the strategy of its use and possible complications. In the second part nutritional support in different clinical situations as critical care, surgery, gerontology, neurology, nephrology, neonatalogy, etc. are discussed.
