Abstract

Resistant hypertension is defined as a failure to reach target blood pressure despite multiple antihypertensive agents, including a diuretic. It is serious cardiovascular and renal risk factor and its incidence increases with deteriorating renal functions.

This review is concerned with diagnostics and principles of treament resistant hypertension.
