Abstract
The chapter presents Plato's dialogue Gorgias as a textbook of dialogue and presents a list of rules and principles for proper dialogue. It is an attempt to show a deeper foundation of these principles, which lies in the nature of human existence.
It turns out that dialectics as the art of working with concepts primarily presupposes dialogue as the art of discourse.
