Abstrakt
Participatory budgets (or projects that were close to the key ideas of PBs) were introduced in the Czech Republic in 4 small municipalities (Nelahozeves, Pržno, Příbor a Třanovice) between 2012-2014. Since that time, many other projects were carried out (to be more specific, I analyzed 72 cases that took place between 2014-2018).
It is obvious, that PBs are getting more and more popular in the Czech Republic, as each year the number of successful PB projects increases. We expect, that this year (2019), more than 50 municipalities should announce new PB periods.
