Abstract
The book A Basics of Nursing and Nursing Practices for Medical Rescuers is a summary of nursing theory and practice, which is primarily intended for the students of medical rescuer, novice professional rescuers or specialized nurses. The introductory part of the publication contains a brief history of the rescue profession in the context of medicine, nursing and the social situation.
Other chapters include the basics of nursing theory, selected possibilities and issues of theoretical concepts implementation into practice. A part of this book is also focused to the current professional role of the medical rescuers and their competencies in practice.
Next parts are focused on the basics of the communication and transcultural care, especially due to the growing number of culturally diverse patients. The last part of the book includes selected individual the most frequently used nursing procedures and techniques.
The authors intention is create not only theoretical basis, but also based on their practical knowledge and skills guidance, that it can be used for study purposes and also for everyday practice.
