In this study, I focus on the last seventeen years of Adriena Šimotová's creative journey, from 1998 until her death. It is the time of my collaboration with the author.
From this perspective, with constant reference to her lifelong work, presented at her retrospective at the National Gallery in Prague (2001), of which I was the curator and author of the exhibition concept, I trace the further development of her work, other positions of her professional activity and the main events of this final period of her life journey. I map this period through an analysis of representative works, the series in which she often worked, the selection of exhibitions in which her work was presented, and the life contexts that had a significant influence on her work.
