Knights of Vřesovice in wars. The contribution to the history of warrior aristocracy

Abstract

The article focuses on the military aspects of the life of the knights (later lords) of Vřesovice - the family with the Moravian origin, which acquired considerable possessions in Northwest Bohemia during the Hussite Wars. The military activities of the Vřesovec family also manifested themselves significantly during the "Poděbrad" period, during the wars with the Turks in Hungary and during the Thirty Years' War.
