Studies from several centers have indicated that PIRCHE scores in kidney-transplant patients may correlate with the incidence of de novo production of donor specific antibodies (DSA). According to these data, recipients with high PIRCHE indexes have increased incidence of de novo DSA compared with patients with low PIRCHE scores.
On the other hand, data on the predictive value of PIRCHE matching in patients who have undergone other organ transplantation (besides kidney) are scarce.
