One of the essential goals of physics outreach is to show high school students what scientists do - both the current scientific knowledge and how is the physics done in the research facilities. There are many ways how to try to do it.
The contribution shows two examples - The Week of Applied Physics (a week full of excursions organised by FYKOS, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics) and The Science Week at Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering (one week with the whole cycle of a scientist's work - from the scientific work to its presentation).
