Gas aggregation cluster source (GAS) is a plasma-based instrument for the preparation of metal or plasma-polymer nanoparticles (NPs). Despite a huge number of studies that dealt with the gas phase preparation of metal NPs and their applications, little concern has been raised with regard to the fluid flow and motion of the NPs inside the GAS.
In this work, steady state simulation was performed to investigate the flow of Ar inside the GAS. Afterwards, analysis was supplied with modelled NP and their trajectory was tracked down.
