GDPR Practical Guide for Accountants

Abstract

More than a year has passed since the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force. Individuals, in the role of controllers or processors of personal data, had to deal with new obligations, which depends on the activities they perform and the amount of personal data which they collect for these purposes.

We have already introduced you to the basic concepts and institutes of this regulation with regard to some aspects in the payroll and accounting agenda in the Methodological Update No. 4/2018. The implementation of GDPR in practice has brought and brings a number of uncertainties.

Opinions in this area, including the case law of the European Courts, are still evolving, they need to be monitored and up-to-date on new interpretations and opinions. What is the current knowledge and experience with the processing and protection of personal data in the area of accounting, taxes, wages and human resources, tried to summarize MVDr.
