This qualitative research is based on an analysis of an one hour interview with 14 students of the year 12. Students were interviewed about what would help to increase the effectivity of their learning.
Analysis showed that it is the teacher's well-prepared presentation complemented by interactive interpretation. It is also the understanding of students how chemical knowledge can be used in everyday life.
The other effectivity increasing tools are: appropriate teaching methods, illustrative examples, demonstrations and motivational assignments, information materials for self-study, student's practising of schoolwork, active outputs, and research projects.
