Dissociative Electron Attachment in HNCO

Abstract

Dissociative electron attachment (DEA) plays an important role in a number of environments with a high abundance of slow electrons. DEA has been successfully studied using the nonlocal resonance model in numerous molecular systems.

However, the use of the nonlocal model was so far limited to one-dimensional problems. We present the results of DEA in isocyanic acid HNCO using a one-dimensional model and our ongoing efforts to extend calculations to two dimensions.
