Abstract

The talk on Mobile Use in Libraries focuses on opportunities and new trends aprroaching to Libraries. We discuss new possibilities for worldwide libraries with focus on India'n libraries.

It is necessary for libraries to do minimal effort for mobile access, there is a huge number of mobile devices' users in India. We discuss possibilities of optimization of webpages and catalogues as well as new services - use of augmented reality, library maps, loans, electronic information resources, RFID and more.

We also focuses on information literacy of users of information in India, and how we can improve it with or without help of mobile information and communication technologies.
