Abstract
The presentation discusses multiverb combinations in Thai in light of Prague Descriptive Linguistics group, with Thai being traditionally viewed as an ideal SVC oriented language prototype. Discussed are problems of earlier frameworks in respect to suprasegmentals, absence of obligarory morphological marking and the inconsistency of description across textbooks, monographs and papers.
SVC is presented as a facultative descriptive model, rather than an objective description of reality.
