Abstrakt
Syntactic or structural priming is an effect that facilitates the processing of a single utterance by repeating the syntactic structure of a previous utterance. It is proven that syntactic priming appears in both production and speech processing using different sentence structures (Pickering & Ferreira, 2008; Tooley & Traxler, 2010).
We present the result of an experiment concerning syntactic priming in Czech language production. In the experiment we did not confirm the effect of priming in nominative and accusative constructions, but we confirmed the occurrence of syntactic priming in sentences with an accusative and a dative.
A lexical boost effect was also observed where repeating the same verb across two primed expressions increases the likelihood of priming.
