The monograph contains an extensive introductory study presenting the theology of the sacraments of St. Thomas Aquinas and the translation of the Summa Theologica III, q. 60-65, with critical apparatus and explanatory notes.
The introductory study classifies the treatise on the sacraments as a whole Summa, presents the structure of the treatise on the sacraments in general and Thomas' theological resources. Further, the study analyzes the key concepts of Thomas' sacramental theology: the sacramental sign, the priesthood of Christ, the instrumental causality and the sacramental organism.
