Czech labour law guarantees remedy to injured employees, who suffers because of occupational accidents. Although there is no occupational insurance as a public social security, the Czech Labour Code provides an appropriate scheme after a Soviet model.
The scheme does not exclude informal foreigners. However, the scheme makes it possible to multiply legal risks ordinary employees are exposed in similar cases.
In addition to usual legal risks, informal foreigners can be easily threatened by the employer, who reminds them of their illegal status. This approach is morally repugnant and shall be faced by adequate legislation adjustments.
