Abstract
In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of parents' requests to postpone school attendance for their children. While a few years ago, parents very often protested sharply against the proposed postponement, today they themselves postpone the entry of their children into the first class.
The publication tries to summarize the reasons for such a transformation and answers a number of questions that are directly related to the assessment of school maturity and the reason for postponement.
