Abstract
The chapter deals with the long path leading to the establishment of an independent full economics university in Czechoslovakia after 1945. It characterizes the process for establishing VŠE in Prague, mapping the difficulties with hiring the staff for the newly established university.
It gives a detailed description of the issue of finding premises for the university campus.
