The study deals with the Renaissance portal of the Benedictine monastery, where is depicted St. George fighting with a dragon.
It is mentioned the dynastic circumstances ranking this work among important historical monuments connected with the royal representation because the figure of St. George in the tympanum is personalized by Louis II of Hungary.
The portal of St. George demonstrates the idea of sovereign representation in both architectural and content interpretation.
